If any club is synonymous with its signature food item, it’s The Olympic Club (San Francisco, CA). Renowned for its Burgerdog—a quarter-pound blend of ground sirloin and chuck, cooked to order, topped with American cheese and fresh condiments—the 'Burgerdog' was created by Hot Dog Bills out of necessity.

“The limited grill space made a hot-dog-shaped-burger easier to fit on the grill, simplified the stocking of inventory, and decreased cooking times,” said Hot Dog Bills. 

Originally located on Lake Merced and frequented by members, Hot Dog Bills was invited to occupy a permanent location near the 10th green of the storied Lake Course in 1950.

“The Burgerdog is truly one of a kind. The shacks around the course are incredibly special,” said a member of The Olympic Club.

Across the country, Fishers Island Club and Mountain Lake—two clubs with a shared connection—are as renowned for their Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Bacon Sandwich as they are for their Seth Raynor templates.

“I must admit I was a little perplexed as to how a sandwich could be so famous, but until you’ve tried it, you can’t fully comprehend the experience of walking the fairways of Fishers Island,” said a guest of Fishers Island Club.

Although the Chicken Sandwich at Maidstone Club may not have the notoriety of the Burgerdog or the Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Bacon Sandwich, its combination on a pretzel bun might have you reconsidering a second as you make your way to the Par-3 14th.
